After Llanes we stayed for two days in Ribadesella, then Llastres,
and in between we drove into the mountains to see a magic lake.
Just leaving Niembro, with traffic from both directions,
even though the streets barely fitted one car.
Ribadesella was polished with recent rain.
An abundance of green and flower, taking us back to our childhood years,
when we still thought flowers would make great perfume.
Our walk upwards, in direction of the Ermita de la Guía.
Follow the green :: A maritime building
Find the other smart.
Ribadesella view.
Discovering the joy of honey suckle, and macro lenses.
walking on until we are...
there.
Horizon of blue and green.
And in the evening: chipirones!
Walking back to the city. A poem in water.
Our gastronomic road trip has been a great success so far.
Next destination: a lake up in the mountains, el lago Enol. The ride was steep and diffuse because of the incredibly thick mist that started to envelop even the road in front of us.
Luckily, there was enough sight to see the Cow Family strolling in the middle of the road.
See the two calves? :: It was so misty that we decided to turn around and go back.
A while later, Jamie felt the sudden urge to go up again. I was somewhat reluctant since the mist was still there, but said we'd give a shot.
The lake was invisible, so we sat down for a rest when suddenly...
the mist started to lift, giving us a clear view of the lake and the surroundings.
It was kinda like magic.
The mist just seemed to retreat.
(and my camera was on macro function.)
And so we drove back, past the cows, smiling a little.
Coming up: part III, the last one.
