Zwerver de Luxe

What does one do when the days are longer and brighter, crawling towards a long awaited Spring? There are morning classes, evening classes, crossing town on my bike, eyes looking for their reflection in icy stares. In between there is idle time, where new words desire translations, blank pages stain with coffee. I long for questions without answers, to drown the night in Bourbon monologues. Instead I soak my steps in melted snow, walking towards the silence of surrender.

Family time in Hoorn

Once or twice a week, I visit markets and walk around the brighter days.
I cook more.

In the morning, on rare occasions, I'm by myself with sunlight falling on the page, and I write and read and there is more sense.

I learned about pancake day and decided to start a new personal tradition. Andrea helped out and we baked pancakes just before midnight.

I did some tourism. Ate the best ice cream in town at Van der Linden, walked in the center, browsed bookstores before meeting up with Sara.

Very Old School Hairdresser on a canal.

We almost went to the Bathtub formerly know as Stedelijk museum. But we prefer the exhibitions of real life provided by the streets.

Amsterdam :: The Hague, visiting Jeroen's amazing work-living space

We ate Mongolian dried fruits and krokantjes.

There was a Mongolian dog
